About the Role
We are seeking a Lead Designer, ADAS and Cluster to shape the user experience and visual language for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and digital instrument clusters in our next-generation vehicles. This role sits at the intersection of human-centered design, automotive innovation, and real-time data visualization. You will lead the end-to-end design process—from research and concept to prototype and production—collaborating closely with product, engineering, and HMI teams to define how drivers interact with complex vehicle systems in intuitive, meaningful ways.
Responsibilities
Lead the design strategy and execution for ADAS and digital cluster experiences across multiple vehicle platforms.
Translate complex technical and sensor data into simple, safe, and intuitive driver experiences.
Partner with cross-functional teams including HMI, UX research, engineering, and product management to define and deliver design solutions.
Create wireframes, prototypes, visual designs, and design specifications that guide implementation and ensure consistency across touchpoints.
Conduct user studies and gather driver feedback to inform and iterate on designs.
Advocate for usability and design excellence in a safety-critical automotive environment.
Stay informed of emerging trends in automotive HMI, visual design, and interaction paradigms to push innovation.
Requirements
7+ years of experience in UX/UI, interaction, or visual design, with at least 3 years focused on automotive or embedded systems.
Strong portfolio demonstrating design leadership in ADAS, HMI, or digital instrument clusters.
Deep understanding of vehicle UX, driver behavior, and safety-first interaction principles.
Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC, ProtoPie).
Experience working with real-time data visualization and motion design.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
Experience working in an Agile or fast-paced development environment.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interaction Design, HMI, Industrial Design, or related field.
Base Salary:
$92,000 - $225,000
