We're looking for a Validation Engineer to join our software-defined vehicle team. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with both early-stage prototypes and production-ready vehicles, particularly in the EV space. Responsibilities:
Gather test requirements, develop comprehensive test plans, manage test schedules, coordinate logistics, and lead prototype vehicle testing programs—executing vehicle-level tests efficiently based on incoming requests.
Manage maintenance and configuration of assigned vehicles, including both hardware and software components.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute test requirements and keep all relevant stakeholders informed of progress and results.
Triage and prioritize issues based on severity, ensuring all reports include detailed information, supporting data, and relevant test logs.
Develop and implement data collection strategies to analyze test outcomes and drive improvements in performance and reliability.
Analyze vehicle data to troubleshoot moderately complex issues, provide actionable feedback, and support resolution efforts across teams.
Review and interpret test results, generate clear and concise technical reports, and effectively communicate findings to senior team members.
Support international testing efforts with up to 50% travel as required.
Requirements:
Bachelors or greater in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
Strong fundamentals in vehicle controls systems
Experience debugging electrical boards, systems, and software
Hands on experience in creation of comprehensive test plans
Experience in HIL/SIL and simulation validation
Software experience in test automation software for test creation (Python, C++, etc)
